You can spend a lot of money on sending a gundog away to be trained.
A much cheaper option may be to train the dog yourself.
This has the advantage of training you at the same time, and giving you a huge amount of pleasure.
But training your own dog is not cost free, especially if you intend to get involved in fieldwork.
You will need help, and access to other working dogs, and to training facilities that most of us cannot replicate in our gardens.
All this comes at a price. And this section is about finding the right equipment and facilities, and making the best use of your hard earned cash.
